The 3.5% processing fee is not added to your invoice total. It is charged only when an
invoice is paid by credit or debit card.

Credit or debit card: 3.5% fee
How do I avoid the fee on an open invoice?
Open the invoice in your dashboard and choose a different option under Choose your
preferred payment method. The fee drops off automatically.
How do I avoid the fee on future invoices?
Add a bank account under View Profile > Payment Methods and set it as your Auto Pull
method. Future invoices will be paid by ACH with no fee.
