Why is my Splitit payment not going through?

There are a number of reasons why your Splitit payment may not be going through when you try to purchase a machine with Simple Mining. Below are the common issues customers run into:

  • You are using a debit card: Splitit only works through credit cards, not debit or prepaid cards. You will need to switch over to a valid credit card in order for the payment to go through.

  • Your card does not have a sufficient credit limit: Though you pay in installments, at the time of purchase Splitit places a temporary hold on your card for the full amount. If your credit limit is lower than the total purchase amount then you will not be able to use Splitit.

  • The billing info does not match: if your address does not match the billing address that the credit card company has on file, the payment will not go through. Double check this information prior to purchase.

  • Your bank blocked the transaction: sometimes banks block large unfamiliar transactions. You can try to make the purchase again, try a different card, or reach out to your bank directly to resolve this issue.

  • Splitit third party decline: Splitit has a third party fraud protection system. If your transaction is flagged by this system, then the transaction will not go through. You can try the payment again with another payment method, or try the payment with a lower initial amount.
