What happens to my Protection Plan if my account goes overdue?

Protection Plan & Overdue Accounts

Coverage is contingent on good standing

Your Protection Plan coverage is active only while your account is in good standing. Entering overdue status affects your coverage, repairs, and enrollment as follows.

Repairs in progress when you go overdue

  • A Break Event that occurred before you entered overdue status remains eligible for coverage
  • Simple Mining reserves the right to suspend active repair work while your account is overdue
  • Mining Recovery Credits, under the Premium Protection Plan, stop accruing as of the date overdue status begins and do not resume for any period you were overdue
  • Once you bring your account current and re-enroll, Simple Mining will resume the suspended repair under the original plan terms

New Break Events after going overdue

Any Break Event that occurs after your account enters overdue status is not covered under this Plan. Simple Mining may, at its discretion, perform the repair at standard parts and labor rates if your account is in good standing at the time of the request.

Automatic unenrollment

If your account is placed in overdue status, your Protection Plan enrollment automatically terminates at the end of the calendar month in which overdue status was entered.

  • You are still billed the full Program Fee for that month, no proration
  • No further Program Fees are charged after the unenrollment date
  • There is no retroactive coverage for any period you were unenrolled

Re-enrolling after overdue

You may re-enroll once your account is back in good standing. Upon re-enrollment:

  • Coverage begins immediately for operational units
  • Units already in repair for pre-overdue Break Events may resume coverage under Section 4.3 of the Addendum
  • Your Annual Parts Allowance balance carries forward, it does not reset
  • Units that are non-operational at the time of re-enrollment are not covered for pre-existing conditions
