What happens if my machine goes down?

Machines can go down for a number of reasons across curtailment, ASIC repairs, and facility repairs. Should anything happen to one of our facilities or your machine, this information is communicated in real time in the dashboard.

ASIC Repairs:

Simple Mining is the #1 rated repair facility in North America and can handle nearly any required repair for an ASIC miner.

If your machine goes down, you are not billed for even 1 minute that it is not mining.

We likely know about machine outages before you do and will communicate issues through the dashboard.

If you go into the dashboard and do not see any updates regarding a machine that is not currently hashing, you can submit a support ticket and the team will resolve your issue.

Should a repair take longer than 2 weeks, we have a hashrate replace program customers can opt into to avoid prolonged downtime.

Facility Repairs:

If there is an unforeseen weather event that damages a container, it is possible that machines within that will be affected.

Similar to ASIC repairs, we will communicate through the dashboard that repairs on your machine are taking place.

In an event like this, repairs may take longer than expected as a significant amount of machines could have gone offline.

If you do not see any updates or progress on your repairs, you can submit a support ticket in the dashboard.

Curtailment:

Curtailment is a necessary practice in times of high energy demand to ensure we do not have a negative impact on the local community.

In times of high energy demand, the grid is overclocked and if we continue to operate, we may prevent hospitals, nursing homes, and the local homes in the community from receiving adequate energy.

In instances of curtailment, we have to shut down our operation (including hosted machines).

Curtailments are resolved as soon as balance to the grid is restored which is dependent on environmental factors.
