What happens if a miner is declared unrepairable during year 1?

Occasionally, a unit  cannot be economically repaired. If that happens, we'll reach out to let you know and walk you through your options.

From there, you'll have 30 days to choose your next step:

  • Apply your Year 1 Replacement Allowance toward a new unit. If a unit is declared unrepairable during Year 1, we'll apply up to $500 in account credit toward a replacement purchased from us. This is a one time credit per unit, applied as account credit only, and it doesn't carry over as cash, transfer to another account, or apply to Marketplace purchases.
  • Let us dispose of it for you. We're happy to handle disposal so you don't have to think about it.
  • Ship it back at your cost. If you'd prefer to keep the unit, you're welcome to arrange return shipping. A $25 de-racking fee will also be applied.

If we still haven't heard back after a friendly second reminder (45 days total), we'll go ahead and handle disposal on your behalf so the rack space can keep working for you.
