How Miner Reboots Are Handled

Learn how our onsite team handles miner reboots, why some miners aren't rebooted, and what happens if a reboot doesn't fix the issue.

Do I need to request a reboot?

No — you never need to request a reboot. Our on-site team handles reboots automatically as part of their regular troubleshooting. When a miner goes offline or drops below its rated hashrate, our monitoring system flags it and automatically opens a repair ticket. The on-site team then determines the right next step — whether that is a reboot or a deeper diagnosis.

Why wasn't my miner rebooted?

Some miners that appear to need a reboot are offline for another reason. They may be:

  • Already in repair
  • Part of a scheduled move between sites
  • Held offline for site maintenance

In these cases, rebooting would not resolve the issue. To check the current status, open the unit's repair ticket or visit the facility status page at dashboard.simplemining.io/facilities.

What if a reboot doesn't fix it?

If a reboot does not restore the miner to its full hashrate, the on-site team will continue diagnosing the unit. All findings and next steps are logged in the repair ticket, so you can follow progress at any time.
