How Do Refunds, Deposits, and Credits Work?

Learn when your hosting deposit is returned, how duplicate charges are refunded, and whether a correction comes back as a refund or a credit.

When is my hosting deposit returned?

Your hosting deposit equals about one month of estimated hosting. When your hosting agreement ends, it is refunded within 30 days of your termination date, minus anything owed, such as your final invoice, late fees, shipping fees, or de-racking charges.

When you sell a miner on the Marketplace, its deposit is returned with your sale proceeds, minus hosting incurred up to the sale. Your deposit can also be applied to an open balance.

Are hardware deposits refundable?

Hardware deposits are non-refundable until your hosting agreement ends or is terminated.

What if I double paid or I believe I was invoiced by mistake?

Email accounting@simplemining.io with the invoice number and payment details. We will confirm the duplicate and issue a refund. Refunds can be returned to the original payment method or applied as a credit on your account.

When will my credit be applied?

Credits are applied to your next hosting invoice by default. If you prefer to have it applied to another invoice, please reach out.

Am I billed while my miner is offline?

No. You are not billed while miners are offline, in repair, paused, overdue, or curtailed, so there is nothing to refund for that time.

Did you know? Hosting is only billed for the time your miner is actually hashing, so downtime never makes it onto your invoice in the first place

Are Protection Plan charges refunded?

No. Protection Plan charges are not prorated or refunded, including the month you cancel or change tiers.
