How do I calculate ocean pool fees?

The fee rate will be 1% for blocks that are mined using our custom datum (which is your primary stratum). In the event our custom datum becomes unavailable, blocks may be mined to Ocean's default stratum (the back-up stratum) and will be subject to higher fee rates. Because of this, your overall fee rate could land somewhere between 1-2%.

Datum/Ocean will not show the discount, however, you can calculate the fee rates per block. In the Latest Earnings section using,

Pool Fees divided by (Earnings + Pool Fees) = fee rate per block.

This is an example from your latest earnings section.

Earnings = 0.00004397 BTC, Pool Fees = 0.00000055 BTC

• Step 1: Add denominator, 0.00004397+0.00000055=0.00004452
• Step 2: Divide fees by total, 0.00000055÷0.00004452
• Step 3: Do the division, 0.00000055/0.00004452≈0.01236
• Step 4: Convert to percentage, 0.01236×100≈1.24%
• Answer: The pool fee rate per block is ~0.01236 (≈ 1.24%).
