Am I billed when my miner is offline?
No. You're only billed for the time your miner is online and actively hashing.
If a unit goes down for any reason during the billing period (offline, in repair, or in a paused state), hosting fees stop accruing for that unit the moment it stops hashing and resume the moment it comes back online. You're never charged for downtime.
How it works
- Online and hashing: hosting fee accrues
- Offline or in repair: no fee accrues
- Paused period: no fee accrues
A paused period is any stretch when a unit is intentionally taken offline, such as during a curtailment event, a customer-requested pause, or while we're holding the unit for maintenance.
How to verify your uptime
Every unit's runtime is tracked in your client dashboard. If your invoice doesn't match what you expected, check the uptime log for that unit at dashboard.simplemining.io before reaching out.
If something still looks off, contact support with your invoice number and we'll reconcile it with you.
